This one is the newest, weirdest, and truly the one that resonated the hardest. Otroversion isn’t in the mainstream psychology textbooks yet. New York psychiatrist Dr. Rami Kaminski coined it in his 2025 book after decades of noticing patients who didn’t fit introvert or extrovert; they felt like outsiders even inside groups they were technically part of.

I took the Otherness Scale quiz before recording this. 237 out of 280. Certified otrovert. I’m dubbing us the rebellious independent black unicorns of the personality world, and Ben and I spend this episode figuring out which parts of it are actually us versus which parts are maybe just something else.
