Welcome to The Unfinished Human

This is a space where we explore the messy, ever-changing journey of self-discovery, growth, and human unfolding. If you’re someone who’s ever felt unsteady, a little lost, or downright surprised that you haven’t figured it all out yet, welcome to the club. I created this blog to share my own rollercoaster ride of navigating middle age, embracing personal and spiritual development, and realizing that life has no neat little bow at the end—just more learning, more growth, and more WTF moments.

At 45, I thought I’d have it all figured out by now—my career, my relationships, my identity. Spoiler alert: I didn’t. In fact, I was just starting to get a handle on who I really was when I was diagnosed with combined-type ADHD and level 1 ASD in 2024. And let me tell you, that was a game-changer. Add to that the reality of aging parents, complex family dynamics, and the constant existential dread that comes with being human, and you realize—life is anything but predictable. It’s like a never-ending episode of a show where you thought you knew the plot, but you’re constantly surprised by the twists.

For much of my life, I thought “achievement” was the key to happiness. Surprise! It’s not. Instead of peace, I found stress, depression, anxiety, and a bunch of health issues I wasn’t expecting. So, in 2019, I made the bold (and totally terrifying) decision to leave corporate life behind. Since then, I’ve embarked on a new journey—one of self-discovery, personal growth, and spiritual exploration. And the more I learn, the more I realize I don’t know shit. And that’s kinda the point. Every time I think I’ve figured something out, I realize I’m just scratching the surface.

This blog is for anyone who feels like they’re constantly evolving—like life isn’t about having a final destination, but about embracing the wild ride of being human. We’ll talk about the big stuff—like mental health, existential epiphanies, facing our mortality and the inevitable awkwardness of realizing you’re not a “kid” anymore—and we’ll also dive into the really weird stuff, like trying to understand why society works the way it does (spoiler: it doesn’t).

And yes, I swear. A lot. Because sometimes, there’s no better word for how fucking absurd everything feels.

Through stories, humor, and raw reflections, my hope is that you’ll feel seen, heard, and maybe a little less alone in this big, confusing world. My goal here is to inspire and empower you to make conscious, intentional changes in your life that lead you toward authenticity, joy, and whatever the hell else you decide you need to make this journey worth it.

Thanks for being here—and for embracing the beautiful chaos of being an Unfinished Human.
